RMS Honorary Fellows
Honorary Fellows are honoured by the society for their eminence in microscopy or related branches of science or for their exceptional service to science.
Fellows must be nominated and recommended by 5 or more Fellows. The proposal is then put before Council who have absolute discretion in approving or rejecting the nomination. The total number of Honorary Fellows is not allowed to exceed 65 so it really is a great honour receive the fellowship.
Recently awarded Honorary Fellowship for his contribution to science is Brad Amos, known for his work in confocal microscopy. He is also a fellow of the Royal Society.
