Organisation

The Society is a charity governed by a Board of Trustees known as "Council", which is led by the Executive Committee.

The scientific direction of the Society is driven by its Science Sections which are made-up of committed and active members.

The outreach activities of the Society are overseen by a group of members drawn from the Science Sections and the wider microscopy and education community.

The Society works closely with its corporate members to ensure that its exhibitions meet the needs of companies and delegates and provide the best opportunities for interaction and networking.
