The eleventh Frontiers of Electron Microscopy in Materials Science Conference is an international conference focused on the application of electron microscopy in the field of materials science. This meeting typically includes over 50 invited speakers, who are the most influential scientists in the field. The conference will be held September 23-28, 2007 at the Sonoma DoubleTree Hotel in the Sonoma Wine Country. FEMMS attracts the best and brightest of the electron microscopy community and affords significant opportunities for students and post docs to meet and have substantive discussions with the leaders in the field. It has been held biennially since 1987. It has been held in Chicago, the San Francisco Bay Area, Japan, Germany, and the Netherlands.
