 The European Light Microscopy Initiative (ELMI) is a network of advanced light microscopy users and manufacturers of imaging equipment. The annual ELMI meeting consists of both scientific presentations and hands-on workshops. The workshops are a unique aspect of ELMI, where manufacturers present their latest equipment to the user community for hands-on training and demonstrations. ELMI meetings rotate throughout Europe, typically hosted by members who run imaging facilities. The next ELMI meeting will be hosted in Glasgow by Kurt I. Anderson from the Beatson Cancer Research Institute and Gail McConnell from the Institute for Biophotonics.
