Event Description

Cell biology has been revolutionised by our ability to image signalling molecules in living cells. The spatial and temporal knowledge of where and when signalling molecules are generated, translocated or activated opens up vistas of understanding which were merely science fiction a decade ago. This, in part, has been due to a coupling of advances in molecular biology to ever more sophisticated imaging techniques. In this meeting, not only will the techniques and discoveries made be reviewed, but current and future advances in the field will be presented by leaders in these areas. The meeting thus will be a stimulating forum for cell biologists, microscopists and molecular biologists who are working in this field.

There will be an opportunity for participants to meet speakers at social events during the meeting and to present their work as either posters or short presentations. The deadline for submission of abstracts for presentation is Friday 13 May 2005.

The speakers include:-

Martin Bootman (Cambridge)
Colin Brownlee (MBA, Plymouth)
Dorus Gadella (Amsterdam)
Peter Cullen (Bristol)
Michael Whitaker (Newcastle)
Daniel Davis (Imperial College, London)
RM Henderson (Cambridge)
Michael White (Liverpool)
