This meeting is organised by the Groupe de Recherche Interdisciplinaire sur les Biomateriaux Osteo-Articulaires Injectables (GRIBOI), Nuffield Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Materials and Engineering Science Departments of the University of Oxford. It is being administered by the Royal Microscopical Society. The meeting will address recent advances in the fields of injectable and implantable biomaterials and biologics for tissue reconstruction and tissue regeneration, particularly relevant to the musculoskeletal system. It is intended to bring together materials scientists, cell biologists, biochemists, engineers and clinicians involved in interdisciplinary research that is critical for advances in tissue reconstruction and regeneration. Topics will include in vivo imaging, microscopy, biomaterials development, implantable biomaterials, injectable biomaterials, tissue engineering, stem and progenitor cell biology and clinical aspects of regenerative medicine.
