Günter Möbus, Paul Mummery and Laurence Tetley

Scope of the Meeting: A joint meeting for the biological and materials/engineering communities who are involved in developments and applications of tomographic imaging. Cross-disciplinary comparisons between tomographic techniques applying different types of radiation, geometries, detectors and data reconstruction schemes will be encouraged.

Invited and Contributed Speakers will cover a range of topics including:
Electron Tomography in the Biological Sciences
Electron Tomography in Materials Sciences
X-Ray Tomography/Microscopy
Principles of Tomography and Reconstructions
Industrial Applications of Tomography

Invited speakers include:
Clair Baldock - University of Manchester - Structural analysis of extracellular matrix polymers using automated electron tomography
Endre Majorovits - University of Oxford
Guenter Moebus - University of Sheffield
X Jia - University of Leeds - Recent developments in industrial process Tomography
Paul Midgley - University of Cambridge - Conventional and unconventional electron Tomography
Alevtyna Yakushevska - Utrecht University - TEM and STEM tomography for life science applications
Graham Davis - Queen Mary, University of London - The challenge for precision in x-ray microtomography

The final 30 minutes of the meeting will allow for manufacturers’ presentations of the latest and forthcoming next generation equipment and accessories.

Registrants are invited to submit abstracts of up to 200 words in length, for consideration as oral or poster presentations. Abstracts should be submitted via email to victoria@rms.org.uk.
