SPM 2012

This meeting covers a wide range of topics associated with Scanning Probe Microscopy including main techniques such as atomic force microscopy and scanning tunnelling microscopy as well as more specialised versions.

Scanning Probe Microscopy Meeting 2012

Venue: Manchester Central Convention Complex
Date: TBC September 2012
Scientific Organisers: Terry McMaster (Bristol), Markus Morgenstern (Aachen) & Peter Hinterdorfer (Linz)

The RMS are pleased to announce that the SPM meeting this year will be incorporated into the European Microscopy Congress (emc)2012!
It is usual in alternate years for the SPM meeting to be incorporated into the Society’s flagship event, MICROSCIENCE, but this September we are hosting the European Microscopy Congress. It is Europe's largest microscopy conference and will cover a huge range of microscopy techniques. In addition to this will be Europe's largest microscopy exhibition, with over 100 microscopy related companies.

Where and When?
SPM and emc2012 will be held at Manchester Central Convention Complex.
The SPM sessions will take place between 16th and 21st September, the confirmed dates will be coming soon.

In addition to the SPM sessions, there will also be a number of other Scientific Sessions at emc2012 that will be of interest to the SPM Community. These include:
PS1.1: Functional Materials
PS1.2: Thin films, Coatings and Interfaces
PS1.4: Advanced Materials
PS1.7: Nanomechanics

See the full list of Scientific Sessions here.
