Introduction - the cell imaging techniques course
The Royal Microscopical Societys Cell Imaging Techniques course will be held in Oxford. This friendly, popular and intensive 5-day course is aimed at biology and biomedical research and technical staff who wish to learn a range of techniques for imaging cells. It will be of immense value to any life scientist or cell biologist, from research or technical background, from hospitals, research institutes, industry or academia and at any stage in their career, who wants to learn or update their knowledge of current cell imaging techniques, either for routine purposes or for research. No previous knowledge is assumed, and it will of value to complete novices and those with some previous experience. It covers a wide range of applications in pathology, cell biology and the plant sciences.
This course has received an award of 35 CPD points from the IBMS. Delegates attending for the full weeks course will qualify for these points.
The course is updated every year to take into account new developments in cell imaging approaches and closely related technologies. It is structured towards a technical understanding of techniques, as once they are mastered they can be applied to almost any cell / tissue system or research project.
