All you need is some enthusiasm to bring microscopes to your classrooms, and we shall help you all the way.
The only condition of borrowing the RMS Microscope Activity Kit is that you provide us with details of how you used the equipment beyond the six lessons that were provided with the box.
This can be in the form of an idea for an activity, lesson plan, description of how you amended or adapted the activities already provided, images, video clips, or however you wish. The choice is yours! You can put them all on a CD/DVD and include within your box when you return it, or else submit them online within two weeks of the completion of your loan period. Ideas and activities do not need to be formatted or fully complete as we can finalise them for you and provide the resources.
The material will be used to produce an additional online resource for use by future borrowers and the feedback provided is invaluable in helping us to optimise the resources we provide
Your feedback should be submitted via the online form on the RMS Microscope Activity Kit website. It won’t take long, but it is very valuable information because it will help us to improve the scheme.
If you are a pupil or parent:
If you are a pupil or a parent at a UK Primary School, let your school know about the scheme and point them towards the website. Perhaps as a parent, you would be prepared to help out when the RMS Microscope Activity Kit is in use.
If you are a member of staff:
If you are a member of staff at a UK Primary School, you can submit an online request for an RMS Microscope Activity Kit. We will ask for details of your school, your preferred dates for delivery and collection, and a commitment to provide a simple learning resource and brief feedback at the end of the loan period.
Once we have received your request, it will be verified by your Headteacher. We will then notify you as to availability and the expected delivery date.
