The Competition is hosted by The Society of Electron Microscope Technology (SEMT), at their annual One Day Meeting in December at The School of Pharmacy, London, UK.
The organisers seek short presentations of 10 minutes, with a few minutes allocated for questions.

In 2010 three winners were chosen:
Ines Jimenez-Palomar (Queen Mary University) was awarded £100;
Thomas Sharp (Bristol University) was awarded £50; and
Daniela Sahlender (Cambridge University) was awarded £25.
