RMS Annual General Meetings (AGMs) will take place virtually
One-day, online event will also feature a number of talks
The RMS has confirmed its Annual General Meetings (AGMs) will take place virtually on 14 October.
The Society had been hopeful of hosting an in-person meeting at a London location, but has taken the decision to proceed virtually, to ensure the safety of attendees.
The online event will include the RMS Annual General Meeting, as well as the Outreach and Section AGMS. The day will also feature a number of talks.
RMS Chief Executive Allison Winton said: “We had been discussing the possibility of marking a return to in-person meetings with this year’s AGMs, but at this point in time, we have decided that the safest approach is the best one.
“Of course, as we found at last year’s AGMs, the online format does encourage a wide audience, and we invite all our members to join us to reflect on the year and plan for the future.”
The Society’s AGMs are free to attend for both members and non-members. This meeting will be the fourth one-day meeting in the Microscopy: Advances, Innovation, Impact series, having previously taken place in 2016, 2018 and 2020.
