Honorary Fellow among nominees for illustrious innovation prize
Prof Dr Max Haider chosen in ‘Lifetime Achievement’ category of European Inventor Award
We are very excited to learn that RMS Fellow, Prof. Dr Max Haider has been included among the nominees for this year’s European Inventor Award.
Launched by the European Patent Office (EPO) in 2006, it has become One of Europe's most prestigious innovation prizes, honouring individuals or teams whose work has improved lives, advanced technology and created jobs.
Dr Haider has been nominated in the ‘Lifetime Achievement category’ for his work on hexapole aberration correctors in electron microscopy. There are 15 nominees across five different categories of the award.

The voting is open until 16 June. The winners in each category, and in the Popular Prize, will be announced at the Award ceremony in Vienna on 20 June.
