RMS offers support for online events and training

The RMS is offering practical support for anyone planning to hold virtual meetings, conferences and online training in relation to microscopy.

For the cost of staff time only, the Society is providing a range of services, from use of its Zoom account and help with registration, through to fully organising and hosting small or large-scale online events.

Since the impact of Covid-19, the RMS has hosted a wide range of meetings, conferences and webinars via its preferred platform, Zoom, gaining a wealth of experience in the process. Recent virtual events have included the highly successful Flow Cytometry Day Course and Light Sheet Microscopy meeting, for which more than 800 people registered. The Society has also staged a series of hugely popular online forums to support international microscopy facilities returning to work in a post-Covid environment.

RMS Events Director Victoria Masters said: “Whether you’re planning a small meeting for 10 people or setting up a big online conference, the RMS can offer the support you need to make your event a success. Our staff have a wealth of knowledge and experience covering a wide range of virtual events, and can help you get the very best out of your online interactions.”

The RMS is a registered charity, and all fees would go towards its ongoing work supporting and promoting microscopy around the world.
