Illuminating new book brings modern light microscope into focus

Comprehensive guide to light microscopy now available as part of RMS Wiley book series

We are delighted to announce the much-anticipated publication of Understanding Light Microscopy by RMS Fellow Jeremy Sanderson.

The comprehensive, full-colour guide to the world of the modern light microscope is the latest addition to the RMS Wiley book series, and marks the completion of a long-term project for Jeremy. It is available to buy here as an e-book or hard copy

Comprising more than 800 pages, the book fills the gap between specialised edited texts on detailed research topics, and introductory books which concentrate on an optical approach to the light microscope.

It also provides comprehensive coverage of confocal microscopy, which has revolutionised light microscopy over the last few decades.
