Does your institution or funder cover Open Access publishing costs?

Wiley open access accounts make payments easy – including for the RMS Journal of Microscopy

Your institution or funder may be able to help with open access Article Publication Charges (APCs) through a Wiley Open Access Account. With Wiley Open Access Accounts, APCs may be covered in full or part for affiliated authors publishing in Wiley fully open access journals, or in a subscription journal through OnlineOpen. Visit the OnlineOpen page for more information on Wiley's hybrid open access option.

Read and publish agreement

Wiley and Jisc (the UK’s research and education not-for-profit that negotiates licences and digital content agreements on behalf of 138 UK universities) signed a four-year 'read and publish’ agreement earlier this year which means researchers can publish open access and read all Wiley journals, including the Journal of Microscopy, at no direct charge to the author.

In addition to the ‘read and publish’ deal with Jisc, there are similar agreements in place for Journal of Microscopy authors from 707 German institutions (Projekt DEAL), researchers from 14 institutions in the Netherlands (VSNU) and authors from the Austrian Academic Library Consortium (KEMÖ). There are also two deals in place in North America – OhioLINK and VIVA, Virginia.
