RMS saddened to learn of deaths of Roger Stacey and Arnold Cleaver

Former members of RMS Trade Advisory Committee were highly respected within the microscopy industry

The RMS was saddened to learn of the recent deaths of two former members of the Society's Trade Advisory Committee, Roger Stacey and Arnold Cleaver.

Both Roger and Arnold were key members of the committee (now known as the Corporate Advisory Board) in the 1980s and 1990s, and were highly respected across the microscopy industry. Roger worked for many years with Olympus, while Arnold was a well-known figure at JEOL.

RMS Chief Executive Allison Winton said: "I was particularly saddened to hear of the passing of both Roger and Arnold. They were both incredibly helpful and supportive and shared their knowledge and advice at many MICRO exhibitions. They were both a pleasure to work with, and they will be missed by many people across the microscopy community. My sincerest condolences go to their families."
