Excitement builds with wait almost over for start of mmc2021
Global online event kicks off on Monday (5 July) with pre-conference workshops and meetings
The countdown to mmc2021 is nearing its final stages, with the first ever online instalment of the Congress due to get underway on Monday (5 July).
The event boasts some great pre-conference workshops and meetings due to take place on Monday afternoon, with the main conference, exhibition, workshops and other features running from Tuesday to Thursday (6 - 8 July). Finally, on Friday (9 June) we'll round-off with two additional workshops - on super-resolution and phototoxicity.
RMS Chief Executive Allison Winton said: "We're so excited about next week, and really hope all our delegates and visitors enjoy the online experience. We also can't wait to catch up with friends and colleagues from across the microscopy community - even if we can't meet in person. I would urge anyone with an interest in microscopy and imaging to visit the official mmc2021 website and register for this great event."
Here's what's on offer on Monday:
- At 1.30pm, we have our ImageJ Workshop, providing an introduction on the use of ImageJ/Fiji, alongside our EMAG Workshop - Using Hyperspy for spectroscopy data cubes.
- For those not signed up to the workshops, we have our free-to-attend BioImagingUK Meeting, providing an opportunity for the UK Bioimaging community to discuss priorities and strategies in training, development, careers and ways to share knowledge across different disciplines.
- Also free-to-attend is our Early Career Symposium, organised by the RMS Early Career Committee. This event will provide a platform for early career microscopists (students and post docs) to network and present their work ahead of the main mmc conference.
We hope as many of you as possible are able to take the opportunity to participate in these great pre-conference offerings!
And remember, there's STILL TIME to register for mmc2021
