"Building Bridges Through Cytometry: The Iberian Society of Cytometry (SIC)"
Julia Almeida: SIC President and Catarina Martins: SIC Vice-President:
Founded in 1992, the Iberian Society of Cytometry (SIC) aims to promote cytometry in Spain and Portugal by connecting researchers and healthcare professionals and fostering education, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
SIC has grown alongside the evolution of flow cytometry, becoming a reference for the Iberian community in both research and clinical practice. Its network now extends well beyond the Iberian Peninsula, connecting cytometrists and scientific societies across Europe and America.
Today, SIC has 211 active members from 13 countries, united by a common passion for cytometry.
