COVID-19 Update – You can still apply for these bursaries if you are running a virtual outreach event.
It is recognised that many RMS Members are engaged in outreach activities where some external funding would help with those little extras, such as consumables, refreshments etc. Council has set aside a special bursary fund for this specific purpose of up to £100 per application.
If you have been a member of the Royal Microscopical Society for more than one year at the time of application, you are eligible to apply for support from this fund.
Applications are considered by the Executive Honorary Secretary and the Honorary Secretary Education. Payment will be made after the event, on completing an RMS Expense Form and producing the relevant receipts and report, the deadline for this being 30 days after the date of the event.
