I helped organise the EBSD conference hosted at the University of Glasgow in 2025 with the RMS. After an initial false start attempting to organise the event in 2024 we successfully organised an excellent well attended meeting of the EBSD community in 2025 attended by academics industry and invited speakers from UK and abroad. The event also included a scottish banquet at The Bothy which was a particular highlight and two tours of our laboratories and the hunterian museum. The RMS team we're responsive and helpful in liasing with venues and catering and also helping invited speakers arrange travel and accommodation. During the event the RMS staff were instrumental in ensuring everything ran smoothly.
