Cellular Pathology Community Meeting, 7 May 2026

Topic: Traditional electron microscopy is currently limited by high costs and large physical footprints, which restricts diagnostic access for patients in rural and Indigenous communities. To address this, we at the Ingham Institute have been collaborating with Thermo Fisher to adapt and validate the Phenom Pharos desktop SEM for anatomical pathology diagnosis. This desktop SEM can provide high-resolution ultrastructural imaging of renal, brain, and pancreatic tissues, offering a more accessible and efficient solution for anatomical pathology

Speakers : Tzipi Cohen Hyams and Murray Killingsworth, Cliff Mathisen
