IMC is returning to Europe for the first time in 12 years, and to the UK for the first time since 1954! Liverpool is an iconic city, rich in culture and history, and a fantastic destination for delegates travelling from overseas. For those outside the continent, this year’s IMC also presents the perfect opportunity to connect with the European research community.

IMC is known as the Olympics of Microscopy – because it only comes round every four years and is quite simply the biggest and best event in the global microscopy calendar. It's an unparalleled platform for groundbreaking, international research, inspiring the next generation of microscopists, and fostering collaboration across scientific disciplines.

Abstract submission is open for submitted talks and posters. There are 32 individual sessions taking place over three symposia; Instrumentation, Life Sciences and Physical Sciences - take a look at the IMC21 website to find which session best suits your research.
