Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy (LSFM) techniques have emerged as the most promising answer to the challenge of imaging in vivo with optical sectioning at high resolution with minimal perturbation to the sample. The technique has established its ability to reduce bleaching and phototoxicity, provide optical sectioning and satisfactory resolution, both lateral and axial, and be capable of high speed imaging.
