Winston Ingram uses a variety of coins from around the world to create some fascinating photomicrographs.

The source materials for these images are silver and copper coins, including a selection of the
old Irish punt and a US silver dollar. I used stereo and metallurgical microscopes and in a few instances, a transmission polarising microscope.
