Science in Your Mother Tongue: Why I volunteer with Native Scientists (infocus #83 September 2026)

Back in 2024 I saw a call on LinkedIn for scientists whose mother tongue was Spanish to go into a school and talk to some students.

I signed up straight away, without thinking too much about it. It was only later, reading more about the project, that something clicked: the idea is built around speaking to children of first-generation immigrants in their own language, and that really resonated with me.
