Sponsored Content: Linkam Expands Peltier Stage Range with PE150i
Linkam Scientific Instruments has launched the new PE150i Peltier heating and cooling stage for precision control of temperature range from -40℃ to 150℃, the latest addition to the company’s well-established range of Peltier temperature-controlled stages for microscopy and life science research.
Designed for use with inverted microscopes and 35mm Petri-dish with real-time sample temperature measurement, the PE150i provides precise and repeatable temperature control at the sample, enabling researchers to investigate biological processes and materials under controlled thermal conditions.
Temperature plays an important role in many life science experiments, influencing cellular behaviour, biological processes and the properties of biological samples. The ability to accurately control and vary sample temperature during imaging can therefore provide valuable insight into temperature-dependent phenomena.
The PE150i uses Peltier technology to provide both heating and cooling, giving researchers the flexibility to establish, maintain and change sample temperatures throughout an experiment. This makes the stage suitable for applications including live-cell imaging, cell and tissue studies, biological research, drug discovery and other microscopy-based investigations.
The PE150i joins the company’s established family of Peltier stages of models PE100, PE120 and LTS120, extending Linkam’s temperature-control capabilities to provide an additional solution specifically designed around the requirements of inverted microscopy and life science applications that require additional flexibility of using sample containers like Petri dishes.
Its compact design allows temperature control to be incorporated into existing microscopy workflows while maintaining convenient access to the sample and supporting optical observation throughout the experiment. Researchers can therefore combine controlled thermal conditions with real-time microscopic imaging.
