The GW4 imaging Network (GW4IN) is an alliance of imaging communities at the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter, encompassing state of the art microscopy from light and electron microscopy to physical imaging.  The network aims to strengthen research collaboration, identify areas of excellence, and address gaps in our collective facilities, helping GW4 maintain its world-leading position in research and innovation.


What to expect:

·      A showcase of regional imaging spanning Light, Electron and Force Microscopies.

·      Presentations from GW4 researchers, facilities and commercial sponsors.

·      Networking opportunities across all career points in academia; access cutting-edge equipment to enhance research and make connections for cohesive funding bids.

·      Opportunities to develop RTP careers with GW4 X-CITED, the Technology Specialists Network and Royal Microscopical Society.

·      Invited speaker Prof Zoya Leonenko building an international consortium preventing Alzheimer’s through physico-chemical characterisation.

 

The GW4IN conference will be followed (03-04/06) by the Bruker UK AFM User Meeting a celebration of 40 years of AFM. A two-day event showcasing the latest advances in Atomic Force Microscopy and its use in life and materials sciences with hands-on workshops in: 

AFM+Raman/TERSBruker's CellWizard™ Stage. 
Dimension Nexus Photothermal AFM-IR.
