THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED. PLEASE CONTACT VICTORIA MASTERS FOR ANY FURTHER DETAILS.
Scientific Organisers: Chris Hawes & Louise Hughes - Oxford Brookes University, Gareth Morgan - RMC
The 2 day ultramicrotomy course aims to provide basic training in ultramicrotomy and associated techniques, such as knife making and coating or staining grids. The majority of the course is practical and workshop based, with hands on operation of equipment and samples, backed up with general information about specimen preparation before you get to the ultramicrotome as well as how to resolve common artefacts. The second day has an optional afternoon session where delegates can section their own samples under the guidance of our expert demonstrators.
