Our mission is to bring together researchers, technicians, cytometrists, and immunologists to explore the cutting edge of spectral flow cytometry. Whether you have never used spectral cytometry and do not know where to start, or you are an advanced user looking to refine your experiments, this meeting is the perfect place to share experiences, learn best practices, and discover new approaches.

Yanping is the manager of the Flow Cytometry Translational Technology Platform at UCL Cancer Institute. After receiving her DPhil degree from Oxford University, Yanping did her postdoc research at UCL focusing on the hematopoietic stem cells and leukaemia. She enjoys helping users with training, experimental design and data analysis for flow cytometry in different disciplines.
She is also has a keen interest in the teaching and mentoring of younger scientists.

Phil Hobson is the Deputy Manager of the Flow Cytometry Science Technology Platform at the Francis Crick Institute, London. Following a PhD in Immunology and post doctoral positions at both Imperial College London and Kings College London, he joined the flow facility at the National Institute of Medical Research during the merger to form the Francis Crick Institute. Within the Crick he has developed interests in high containment sorting and health and safety. Due to his responsibilities with the mass cytometry suite, he is interested in high dimensional data analysis of both flow cytometry and imaging data sets.

Helena is a PhD student at King's College London, working in the labs of Dr. Esperanza Perucha and Prof. Andrew Cope. She completed her BSc in Physics at the University of Warwick, before undertaking her MSc in Analytical Bioscience at Birkbeck College. Her focus is on the mechanisms behind immune checkpoint inhibitor induced toxicities, with a particular interest in the role that tissue-resident memory T-cells play in their development.

Ricardo Sainz is a Higher Scientific Officer and PhD student in the laboratories of Dr Erik Wennerberg and Prof Alan Melcher at The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), London. His PhD research utilises high‑parameter spectral cytometry to investigate how radiotherapy alters the immune landscape in immunotherapy‑resistant cancers, profiling metabolic and phenotypic states across various immune subsets using techniques such as Met‑Flow and SCENITH.

Stephanie is a PhD student in the lab of Professor Mala Maini and Dr Laura Pallett at UCL studying liver immunology. Her research focuses on understanding how cellular crosstalk within the tumour microenvironment can shape the interactions between NK cells and T cells in the context of primary liver cancer. She joined the BSI London Immunology Group in 2022 and now leads Digital Communications.
