Council & Executive Committee
The Society is a charity governed by a Board of Trustees known as "Council", which is led by the Executive Committee.
Council - the overall governing body of the Society - consists of the Executive Committee, Chairmen of the various Sections, and ordinary members. The Chair of the Trade Advisory Committee attends by invitation. The members of Council are the Trustees of the Society. The RMS Trustee Induction document is available here.
The Society is managed on a day-to-day basis by the staff of the Society at the offices in the centre of Oxford. They work closely with the Executive Committee to ensure that actions from Council meetings are completed.
