As proud supporters of the Technician Commitment, the RMS continues to offer technical training subsidies to empower and support members of the technical community to take part in RMS training events. If you are in a technician role working in higher education or research and would like to apply for a subsidy on the course registration fee, please complete the application form under the Technician Subsidy tab before registering for the course. If you are awarded a subsidy you may be asked to write or contribute to a short report for infocus about your learning outcomes following the training.

The All Things Cryo course will take place at the Nanoscale and Microscale Research Centre (nmRC) in the Cripps South Building, on the University Park Campus of the University of Nottingham, UK
By public bus services
There are a number of public services that run close to or through the University campuses. Further details on public bus services to The University of Nottingham.
By taxi
There are taxi ranks throughout the City Centre and immediately adjacent to the main railway and bus stations. The journey to the campus takes about 15 minutes.
From East Midlands Airport (approximately 10 miles)
East Midlands Airport does not have its own train station, but it is easily accessible by using public buses. Buses arrive and depart from the Coach Station located next to the terminal building.
You can also walk to the taxi rank on the terminal forecourt and take a direct taxi to the University. The cost of a single/one way journey is approximately £20. Taxis are normally available 24 hours.
By car from the M1 motorway
Leave the M1 motorway at Junction 25 to join the A52 to Nottingham. Turn right at The Priory roundabout (about 4 miles from M1), then left at next roundabout to enter the University's West Entrance.
When driving to University Park Campus via satellite navigation, please use NG7 2QL as the postcode.
Car parking on campus
Visitors to the University will be required to use the pay and display facilities. Restrictions will apply in some locations.

The RMS is committed to reducing waste and making all of our activities more sustainable. With this in mind we have reduced the amount of printing associated with our events, turning to online solutions, therefore, we will only be providing an electronic copy of the programme and course material.
There is no dress code for the course, but please dress appropriately considering the equipment and materials being used on the course. There is no dress code for the evening dinners.
The programme for the course will start at 10am on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and should finish at around 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday and around 4:00pm on Wednesday. All times are Grenwich Mean Time (GMT).
For those attending the hybrid course lunch and tea/coffee will be provided during the breaks each day. There will be a fish and chip dinner and a quiz on Monday evening and a course dinner on Tuesday evening, this is included in your registration fee. If you do not wish to attend the dinners, please email [email protected] as soon as possible.
Every care will be taken to cater for any dietary requirements or allergens. Attendees must make the RMS aware of these requirements via the registration process. If you have any concerns, please contact [email protected].

If you would like to wear a mask at our event, we welcome anyone to do so if they wish. There will be spare masks and hand sanitiser available at the RMS welcome desk for anyone that requires them.

Please note that the use of personal recording equipment including camera and Dictaphones is not permitted unless arranged with each individual lecturer beforehand.
There may be a number of people taking official photographs to record this event and also to use in future promotional material for the RMS. If for any reason you do not wish to be included in these photos, please let your RMS event organiser know on the day of the event.
