The expansion microscopy user group brings together researchers to share experiences to enable rapid uptake of the technology.

We'll be joined by Dr. Haibo Jiang who'll be presenting his talk titled "BOOST: a microwave-assisted fast expansion microscopy method."

Dr. Haibo Jiang obtained his BSc from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and completed his PhD and postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford. From 2015 to 2021, he held positions as Lecturer, Group Leader, and Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia. He also served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles from 2016 to 2019. In 2021, Dr. Jiang joined the University of Hong Kong as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry. Supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, he established the JC STEM Lab of Molecular Imaging. Dr. Jiang’s recent research focuses on developing and applying advanced chemical imaging technologies and their applications in the study of molecular transport and metabolism processes.

Microscopy Officer at the Imaging Facility, Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Australia.

Dr Segal has a PhD in Tumour Immunology from the Dept. of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Melbourne. She has years of experience in sample preparation for confocal and multiphoton microscopy. In her current role as an academic specialist she supports confocal, tissue clearing and Lightsheet applications.
