Located in the School of Biosciences at the University of Birmingham, the Birmingham Advanced Light Microscopy (BALM) facility provides cutting-edge microscopy resources to members of the university community and beyond (commercial and academic). Within a large range of advanced fluorescence imaging systems (including wide-field, confocal and TIRF), our microscopes are routinely used for high resolution live-cell imaging, as well as analysis of organisms incl. Drosophila, zebrafish, Arabidopsis
