Overview

LMCC is a core microscopy facility located at Loughborough University that provides services to external academics and industry. The centre is primarily focused on characterisation of crystalline materials (metals and ceramics). The centre hosts a Plasma Focused Ion Beam pFIB, FIB, FEG-TEM, 3 x FEG SEM, E-SEM, XPS, XRD and XRF. The centre also has a range of sample preparation facilities. The instruments are supported by a team of dedicated research support and technical staff.
