Applications
Keywords - Biological: Cell Biology | Neurobiology | Developmental Biology | Immunobiology | Zebrafish | Histology/pathology | ORGANOIDS | CLEARING
We specialise in live imaging of whole developing embryos, spheroids, and fixed and cleared tissue. In addition to our confocal systems we have a suite of microscopes for fluorescence, live cell imaging and histology which provide much needed basic imaging platforms that are heavily utilized as these systems are rarely found in a fully supported core facility.
Sample Preparation
Keywords - Biological: Resin embedding | Serial sectioning | Cryosectioning | Immunolabelling | Photoconversion | Immunofluorescence | Cryostat sectioning | Vibrating microtome | H&E staining | Live Cell
We have expertise in sample sectioning via cryostat or microtome. For whole embryo imaging we perform whole mount staining and use a variety of clearing techniques to image up to 5mm inside tissue.
Data Analysis
Keywords - Software: ImageJ | FIJI | Imaris | Matlab | Huygens | Volocity | AxioVision
We have 2 dedicated workstations with Huygens deconvolution, Imaris, Volocity, Matlab and various open source software. Training is offered for all software systems, and customized image analysis workflows can be provided.
