Synthetic Biology Platform to Power Up Gene Engineering and Enzyme Discovery

To facilitate the research and development of synthetic biology, a one-stop synthetic biology platform is developed to offer comprehensive tools and resources for DNA synthesis, gene editing, enzyme discovery, and so forth. From design to build, test, and learn, this platform covers every aspect of the synthetic biology project lifecycle—simplifying researchers’ journey to groundbreaking discoveries with unified, cutting-edge solutions.

Synthetic biology is a multidisciplinary field that combines principles from biology, engineering, and computer science to design and create new biological components, devices, and systems. It involves the modification of existing biological systems or the creation of new ones by manipulating the genetic code of organisms. By using techniques such as DNA synthesis, genetic engineering, and genome editing, synthetic biologists aim to engineer organisms with specific functions or capabilities. This can include the biosynthesis of purine, gene cluster, and fatty acid, as well as strain engineering for amino acids, biopolymers, and natural compounds.

Combining the very robust technologies of CRISPR, automated liquid handling, and bioinformatics, the synthetic biology platform reaches beyond traditional technology applications, providing cutting-edge DNA assembly and cloning, as well as genetic engineering such as CRISPR-based gene editing services. Complex genetic circuits based on CRISPR allow for more accurate regulation of gene expression in terms of expression levels and timing than traditional methods. Through integrated gene engineering solutions, this platform aims to provide researchers with streamlined access to complex genetic constructs, which will alleviate the technological challenges associated with DNA manipulation and enable researchers to focus on their core objectives, facilitating their breakthroughs in different fields.

In addition to gene engineering, the platform can also simplify and streamline the process of finding and designing new enzymes for various applications. Traditionally, the discovery and design of enzymes have been time-consuming and labor-intensive processes. However, with the advancement in bioinformatics tools and high-throughput screening techniques, the field of enzyme discovery and design has been revolutionized. Through employing advanced bioinformatics tools and high-throughput screening techniques, this technology platform provides a comprehensive toolbox for enzyme discovery and design, allowing researchers to generate novel enzymes with desired activities and specificities. From AI-guided enzyme design to enzyme supply, the platform offers a seamless and integrated approach, saving researchers time and effort in coordinating multiple service providers.
