infocus Magazine goes online!
The RMS members' magazine, infocus, is set to become a fully online publication, with the release of the first digital-only issue in March.
The quarterly magazine features a rich blend of articles, reports, news and reviews, providing a common forum for scientists and technologists using all branches of microscopy, imaging and flow cytometry.
As part of plans to boost the magazine's profile, selected articles from each new issue will be made publicly available on the RMS website - giving non-members access to some of the latest content, as well as the ability to browse through back issues more than 12 months old. There are also a number of new advertising opportunities for RMS Corporate Members and other companies associated with the digital package.
RMS Chief Executive Allison Winton said: “We feel this is a really positive move, and are hugely excited about the opportunities that going online opens up for the future. infocus has been issued to RMS Members since 2006, and as the ‘Proceedings of the RMS’ since 1966. We’re proud of the publication’s history, and the role it continues to play as a forum for scientists, technologists and enthusiasts spanning all branches of microscopy, imaging and flow cytometry."
infocus Scientific Editor Leandro Lemgruber added: "Going digital unlocks the potential to do so much more with the magazine in terms of our ability to present content in new and engaging ways. We want to explore these opportunities and develop our online presence - while also ensuring that we continue to deliver the familiar range of features that we know our readers value.”
The most recent four issues of infocus are already available online and can be viewed by RMS members.
A newly consolidated library of articles from older issues can also be viewed here.
