Yige is an early career researcher in materials science. Her expertise includes energy storage and microscopy. She is currently a Faraday Institution research fellow in the Nextrode project, and a David Cockayne Junior Research Fellow at Linacre College. She obtained an MS degree from Tsingua University, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Tsukuba. She was a junior researcher at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan. She is currently working on surface analysis techniques for lithium-ion batteries, and advanced manufacturing for smart electrodes.
